Artful ATL Prep - Part 3: Exploring New Presentation Paths

Three weeks out: Pivoting to photo paper prints with traditional gallery framing

Three weeks out from Artful ATL, rainy day reflections have led to significant exhibition decisions. Based on feedback from the critique session, I'm making a substantial pivot: exploring photo paper prints with traditional gallery framing rather than continuing with my signature metal prints and LED backlighting.

In this latest installment documenting my journey to June 7th, I share:

  • The timeline crunch as installation approaches

  • Why I'm giving traditional printing and framing a thorough exploration after predominantly using metal

  • My visit with Mirage at Buckhead Framing Company (who is also exhibiting at Artful ATL)

  • My technical process for creating scaled layout mockups using Adobe Illustrator

  • The surprising discovery that I'll need to reduce both image sizes and quantity

What began as a plan for 10 images in three different sizes has evolved into 9 images in two sizes—a necessary adaptation to ensure proper viewing space for each piece.

As I refine this layout over the coming days, I'm balancing artistic vision with practical limitations while maintaining a cohesive presentation of my Vanishing Point collection.

Watch Part 1 (Selection Process) and Part 2 (The Critique) to follow the complete journey.
